The UK Marine Strategy is being updated across all four nations (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) to assess and improve marine environmental status and implement coordinated protection measures. The 2025 update includes Part One assessment, Good Environmental Status consultation, and Part Three programme of measures, with specific focus on Antarctic protection and marine habitat conservation. This is an active multi-year strategy with 2025 updates published.
