Forensic Science Regulator draft code of practice 2025
This code of practice concerns the performance of forensic science activities in England and Wales.
The Forensic Science Regulator, under the Forensic Science Regulator Act 2021, is implementing a regulatory framework to standardise forensic science practice and quality across the UK criminal justice system. The Regulator is developing codes of practice, managing the Forensic Information Database Strategy Board, and overseeing compliance by forensic service providers. Recent activity includes publication of annual reports and draft codes of practice for 2025.
