Forensic Science Regulator consultations

The Forensic Science Regulator has published a code of Practice and Conduct for forensic science providers and practioners in the criminal justice system.

The Forensic Science Regulator has published a [Code of Practice and Conduct] for forensic science providers and practitioners in the criminal justice system.

The Code of Practice was intended to be supplemented with appendices covering evidence specific requirements, guidance,information and protocols.

In order to finalise each appendix, each one must undergo a public consultation to gain feedback.

The three appendices are available to download below. You can download the feedback form below to provide your comments on each appendix.

DNA analysis appendix

The DNA Appendix has been produced by the Regulators DNA Specialist Group and has taken into account elements of the report to him on [the interpretation of DNA evidence] (including low template DNA).

Digital appendix

The Digital Forensic Services appendix has been produced by the Regulators Specialist Group.

Digital appendix - video

The Digital Forensic Services - video analysis appendix has been produced by the Regulators Specialist Group.
