Defence Industrial Strategy

The Defence Industrial Strategy, led by the Ministry of Defence, sets out the UK's approach to building and maintaining defence industrial capacity and capability. Current activity includes progressing the defence investment plan, exploring use of Northern Ireland industrial capacity, supporting UK defence firms exporting to Ukraine with rapid innovation cycles, and updating the National Shipbuilding Strategy. The strategy is active and addresses both domestic defence equipment procurement and international defence technology exports.
