The Home Office is developing policy on unauthorised online access and data security, including the Social Media (Access to Accounts) Bill, which addresses unauthorised access to online accounts and personal data. The policy aims to strengthen protections against account hacking and data breaches. Current status is active with calls for information and consultation on legislative measures.
