UK Fisheries Management Plans

The UK is developing and implementing fisheries management plans for individual fish stocks and species across English, Scottish, and Welsh waters to ensure sustainable exploitation post-Brexit. Led by DEFRA, the Marine Management Organisation, and devolved governments, the plans set catch limits and management measures for species including demersal fish, sprat, and cockle. The policy is active with regular catch limit reviews and ongoing plan development across multiple marine regions.
