UK-Australia FTA Implementation
The UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation is being managed by DBT, DEFRA, and DIT to operationalise the bilateral trade deal and maximise its benefits for UK businesses and sectors. Current focus includes addressing sectoral concerns, particularly in agriculture and food, establishing clear ministerial accountability, and supporting Welsh farming adaptation to tariff liberalisation. The agreement is in active implementation phase with ongoing government and parliamentary scrutiny.

We are concerned that the statutory Trade and Agriculture Commission (TAC) is not yet operational and we urge the UK Government to set up the TAC as soon as possible.
