In response to: Smart metering policy framework post 2025
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is developing a Smart Metering Policy Framework for the post-2025 period to assess effectiveness of smart meters in demand management and cost control, while addressing rural connectivity and equity concerns. This active policy examines smart meter-enabled thermal efficiency ratings and their integration with warm home schemes and energy efficiency policies.
