The Mental Health Act 2025 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2026
These Regulations bring into force, on 6th April 2026, sections 51 and 52 of the Mental Health Act 2025 (“the 2025 Act”).
The Mental Health Act 2025 represents a comprehensive reform of mental health legislation led by the Department of Health and Social Care, addressing patient rights, community care involvement, and mental health professional provision in schools. The reform includes statutory guidance development and addresses health disparities and employment conditions in the mental health sector.
