Infected Blood Compensation Scheme

The Cabinet Office and Infected Blood Compensation Authority are administering the Infected Blood Compensation Scheme to provide redress for victims of contaminated blood products and unethical research. The scheme is undergoing consultation on proposed changes, including eligibility criteria for deceased individuals' estates and unethical research awards. This addresses historical harm from infected blood transfusions and related medical misconduct.
