Home Credit Market Regulation

The Competition and Markets Authority is reviewing the Home Credit Market Investigation Order 2007, specifically Parts 3, Article 29, and Schedule 4, to assess whether existing regulatory provisions remain appropriate for the home credit lending sector. The review is examining affordability requirements and other consumer protections in light of market developments and consumer vulnerability. The CMA has published provisional and final decisions with consultation on proposed variations to the Order.
