Hazardous Substances Restrictions and Exemptions
The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs is managing restrictions and exemptions for hazardous substances including asbestos, cadmium, and lead under UK REACH regulations. Multiple bills are progressing including the Low Hazard Workplaces (Risk Assessment Exemption) Bill and asbestos-related damages bills, with exemptions granted for specific industrial applications.
