Decarbonising Heat For Net Zero

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is developing policy to decarbonise domestic and industrial heating through the Low Carbon Domestic Heating Bill, addressing uncertainty around hydrogen versus heat pump technology pathways. The policy aims to provide long-term certainty to consumers, installers, and supply chains on which low-carbon heating technologies will be mandated or incentivised. Heat batteries and alternative technologies are also under assessment.
