Debt Enforcement Sector Regulation
The Ministry of Justice is regulating the debt enforcement sector, including bailiffs and enforcement agents, through reforms to the Taking Control of Goods procedure and new licensing or conduct standards. A consultation on sector regulation has closed, and a Bill on enforcement agent regulation for council tax collection is progressing.
