The Home Office is revising the Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS) Code of Practice under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. The revised code updates operational guidance for law enforcement and intelligence agencies deploying undercover officers and informants, with consultation completed and revised code now in effect.
