The Special Educational Needs and Disability (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations amend the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/1530) (“the 2014 Regulations”).
The Department for Education is implementing comprehensive children's social care reform including establishment of a Child Protection Authority, regional care cooperatives, and improved support for looked-after children and kinship carers. Multiple bills address distance placements, care worker standards, and children not in school. Current status involves programme specification for Kinship Zones, post-qualifying standards development, and consultation on child protection authority establishment.
These Regulations amend the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/1530) (“the 2014 Regulations”).
