Disabled Access Residential Premises Reform
This reform addresses barriers disabled people face in accessing housing adaptations and accessible properties, led by the Equality Hub. It covers Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) policy, landlord refusal of reasonable adjustments in the private rented sector, and the need for local authorities to maintain registers of accessible housing stock. The issue is active with the Disabled Facilities Grants (Review) Bill and intersects with the Renters (Reform) Bill.
