This research report explores employers’ understanding of checks conducted on prospective employees under the Right to Work regulations. The research was conducted with employers across the UK and looks at awareness of the Right to Work legislation; practices around its application; why it matters to employers and views and/or experiences of illegal working. 

This research was undertaken by an independent research agency which conducted a representative survey with UK businesses and follow-up interviews.
