Update 25 March 2025

This Statutory Instrument (SI) was relaid in Parliament on 25 March 2025. The SI now includes a Commencement provision and now specifies that these regulations come into force 21 days after the day on which they are made.

The explanatory memorandum has been updated to include a link which references planned future reforms section of the Assimilated Law Parliamentary Report June 2024 to December 2024, published by the Department for Business and Trade and laid before Parliament on 23 January 2025.

The regulations under the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 will revoke 37 instruments of secondary assimilated law and additional legacy transitional provisions, as these are now obsolete and redundant in the UK. This action aims to regularize the statute book by eliminating outdated legal instruments.
