This consultation seeks views on proposals to reform:

  • the police complaints system
  • the police disciplinary system
  • measures to strengthen protections for police whistleblowers
  • changes to the role of the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC)
  • changes to the powers of Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC)
