Smart Specialisation in England provides a strategic framework for investments in research and innovation funded by the European Regional Development Fund. This framework is required by EU regulation. The document:
- sets out the main priorities for investment
- lists other policies and programmes that support businesses to invest in innovation
- helps Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and their partners to identify opportunities and collaborate across England and beyond
