Nuclear Decommissioning Authority: Strategy
Sought views on strategy for decommissioning UK's nuclear legacy sites safely, securely, and in ways that protect people and the environment.
An early version of the draft strategy was published in September 2015 for a period of informal engagement with stakeholders. We are grateful for the responses received. We have now published the NDA response to comments from stakeholders.
The consultation focused on a series of questions seen throughout the document. We welcomed comments on how our strategy or its implementation can be improved and considered these where appropriate.
In support of this strategy we undertook an integrated impact assessment (IIA), which identified environmental, socio-economic and health impacts of implementing our strategy. We also updated our value framework, which provides a toolkit for decision-making and ensures transparency when comparing and assessing options.
