Budget Revision Notice

The budget for CfD Allocation Round 7 (AR7) has been revised. The final budget for Pot 3 is £1790 million, which is an overall increase of £890 million.

Budget notice and accompanying note

The Contract Budget notice sets out the parameters that apply to CfD Allocation Round 7. The budget available in the AR7 auction will be:

• £295 million for Pot 1 (establish technologies), inclusive of a minimum ringfence of £160 million for onshore wind and remote island wind projects
• £15 million for Pot 2 (emerging technologies)
• £900 million for Pot 3 (offshore wind)
• £180 million for Pot 4 (floating offshore wind)

This notice sets out certain information that must be used by LCCC to complete the appropriate Standard Terms (CfD contract), which is individualised for each successful project in CfD Allocation Round 7/7a.

Counterparty Costs Notice

CfD applicants may apply to the CfD Counterparty (LCCC) to request ‘minor and necessary’ modifications to the CfD contract. This notice sets out the threshold above which the costs likely to be incurred by LCCC as a result of the modification would not be considered ‘minor’. We have set this threshold at £20,000 for CfD Allocation Round 7/7a.
