How to check whether someone has delegated authority (1.0)

Guidance for services certified against the UK digital verification services trust framework who offer delegated authority as part of their service.

This guidance (‘the delegated authority guidance’) is written for services certified against the DVS trust framework who offer delegated authority as part of their service.

This 1.0 publication of delegated authority guidance is valid from the date the 1.0 publication of the UK digital verification services trust framework (‘trust framework’) comes into force.

Services demonstrating compliance with the delegated authority guidance as part of certification against the 1.0 trust framework will have to comply with this version of the guidance.

This is the first version-controlled publication of the delegated authority guidance. The most recent non-numbered version of this guidance (titled ‘Delegated authority guidance’) can be found on GOV.UK and is, from the date of this publication, to be considered as the 0.4 version of this guidance.
