Pre-legislative scrutiny of the draft Tenant Fees Bill: government response to the Select Committee report

The Tenant Fees Bill sets out the government’s approach to banning letting fees paid by tenants in the private rented sector. The aim of the Bill is to deliver a fairer, more competitive, more affordable and more transparent market.

This report sets out the government’s response to the recommendations in the Select Committee’s report pre-legislative scrutiny of the draft Tenant Fees Bill published on 29 March 2018.
