The Veterinary Medicines Directorate is seeking evidence on the residues or effects of flea and tick treatments containing fipronil or imidacloprid in the environment.

We are also seeking views on whether professional advice at the point of sale could support responsible use and disposal. We want to understand how any changes to supply routes might affect pet owners, animal health and welfare, businesses, and access to these medicines.

This evidence will inform a review of how these medicines are supplied.
