This is the government response to the BEIS Committee report, published in July 2018, on the draft National Policy Statement for Geological Disposal Infrastructure.

The Committee’s inquiry, launched in May 2018, received 12 written submissions from:

  • the Nuclear Legacy Advisory Forum (NuLeaf)
  • various local authorities
  • individuals
  • environmental groups
  • trade unions

It also took oral evidence from:
