Resolved, That the following Reason be assigned to the Lords for disagreeing to their Amendment 1
to the Diego Garcia Military Base and British Indian Ocean Territory Bill:
Because it is not appropriate to re-open the terms of the Treaty.—(The Chair.)
Reason to be reported [Standing Order No. 83H(6)].
Resolved, That the following Reason be assigned to the Lords for disagreeing to their Amendment 2
to the Diego Garcia Military Base and British Indian Ocean Territory Bill:
Because the Lords Amendments would involve a charge on the public funds; and the
Commons do not offer any further Reason, trusting that this Reason may be deemed
sufficient. —(The Chair.)
