Details

This is the gamma (0.4) publication of the UK digital identity and attributes trust framework. It is the first statutory trust framework (‘the DVS trust framework’) under section 28 of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (‘the Act’)

This statutory publication supersedes the June 2025 pre-statutory publication, but certifications against pre-statutory publications will remain valid under the conditions described in Section 0.

The June 2025 final publication, in turn, superseded the November 2024 pre-release that was shared for business readiness purposes.

The UK Accreditation Service has recognised this publication, and
approved conformity assessment bodies (CABs)
could begin certifying services against its requirements from 1 July 2025.

Minimal changes were made to the content of the final publication document after the pre-release, with only small necessary corrections (outlined in Section 0) as well as alterations to the enforcement and expiry dates in the ‘Version and certification validity notes’ (also Section 0).

Further information on
how digital verification services can get certified
can be found on the
Office for Digital Identities and Attributes
website.
