Under the DMCC Act the CMA must obtain the approval of the SoS before publishing the guidance. The SoS must approve the guidance or give reasons to the CMA for not approving it before the end of the 30th working day after the day on which the CMA seeks the SoS’s approval. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has asked the Secretary of State to approve the digital markets competition regime guidance. The guidance will be published following approval.
