DCMS commissioned Revealing Reality to carry out research into how businesses in traditional media sectors engage with data on the users of their products/services, and the barriers they face in making better use of this data.
The fieldwork took place between March and June 2021 and comprised 25 in-depth interviews with media businesses of varying sizes across the UK.
