The UK ETS Authority– made up of the UK Government, Scottish Government, Welsh Government and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (Northern Ireland) - launched a targeted consultation on 23 September 2024, on 3 proposals for technical and operational changes to the UK ETS, relating to:
1. The publication of UK ETS Registry transaction data.
2. The disclosure of UK ETS information by a national authority.
3. Applications to obtain Ultra-Small Emitter (USE) status for the 2026-2030 allocation period.
This is a joint response by the UK ETS Authority.
