The purpose of the Interministerial Group for Business and Industry is to support effective engagement and collaboration in areas of shared interest between the portfolio ministers leading on these issues within the UK administrations. These areas include:

  • engaging on areas of shared interest across all business and industry policy areas in support of sustainable economic growth
  • sharing, reviewing and coordinating relevant policy developments relating to industrial and economic strategies

The group is led by ministers from across the UK.
